update-ish-ness

Last night at kickboxing I stayed strong until the end, instead of limping to the finish-line. It wasn't QUITE so hard to see myself in the mirrored wall at the front of the room.

Yesterday I switched out the jug on the watercooler at work - something I NEVER thought I could do.

I am, however, frustrated by the lack of a reliable scale. The gym has nothing, I have a 70-year-old spring scale at home... And I'm not paying $45 (or whatever they want) to get weighed every week at Weight Watchers. I guess I'll juts have to wait until my clothes are actually falling off me to know I've lost fat :-P

You could pick up a sewer's measuring tape and measure yourself at key points i.e. around the arms, the tummy, thighs. This will probably be a more accurate way to see if you're losing weight than stepping on a scale and it will be super cheap too.

Get thyself to Target or other fine establishment. You can get a decent scale (digital, please!) for about $45, tops.

I used to weigh at the mall....

I'm not sure where you are from... but before I had a decent scale I would weigh myself on the scale at the mall... it is usually out in front of vitamin world, or GNC. It costs $.25 and prints out a little slip to take with you.

The downfall is that you have all your clothes and shoes and everything on... you'll look funny taking shoes and stripping layers in the mall. lol.

I have a scale now though... they aren't too bad in price. One time payment of 35-45 dollars and you have it right at home so you can weigh yourself in private.
