Is my scale on crack?

I really overate over Christmas. My weight skyrocketed to 146 pounds on Tuesday. That day, I told my husband not to fix me dinner. I had two Slim-Fasts, two clementines (imagine a juicier, much sweeter tangerine) and half a package of beef jerky. That, plus eight glasses of water, was what I had all day.

This morning, my scale read 141 1/2. I weighed myself three times just to make sure.

There is a tray full of cake slices, one column vanilla, one column apple, and one column pumpkin. I started towards it two or three times, but sternly ordered myself "No!" each time. I do not need another 350 or 400 extra calories today.

I don't want to spoil my body's miraculous loss of four and a half pounds overnight by abusing it with sugary junk.

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.
